• Are you an early school leaver between the ages of 15 and 20?
• You can come here to do your Leaving Certificate and gain FETAC qualifications.
• We will help you to build your skills and confidence so that you can go on to employment or further education.
• Weekly allowances are paid to learners from 16 years upwards
• Places in the centre are limited.
Background
Carlow Youthreach was opened to learners in January 2008 catering for early school leavers between the ages of 15-20 years in Co. Carlow. It is an educational initiative run by Co. Carlow V.E.C. and funded by the National Development Plan (NDP), The Department of Education and Science (DES) and the European Social Fund (ESF).
Mission Statement
Youthreach Carlow aims to provide education and personal development opportunities for each individual learner, in a safe, respectful, challenging and flexible environment.
Objectives
The Youthreach programme offers participants the opportunity to improve skills, gain nationally recognised qualifications, become more confident and experience a variety of activities.
The Centre
Youthreach is situated on the Tullow Road in Carlow town and can accommodate up to 25 learners.

Allowances
Weekly training and meal allowances are payable to learners from 16 years upwards and vary depending on age. A travel allowance may also be payable.
